PRESS: CREATIVE MORNINGS - HOW AND WHY REWILDER WAS BORN

Lisa Siedlecki and Jennifer Silbert had cush careers in fashion and architecture, but they were shook by how much waste their jobs produced in those industries. They had to quit and find a better way to make things. Lisa and Jenny founded Rewilder in 2014 with a mission to make “zero waste originals”—better bags with a micro-footprint that breaks from the normal fashion lifecycle.

Instead of buying new material, they take 100% salvaged, high-performance materials from other industries, like the auto or alcohol industries. They then wash, cut, and sew everything in California so they’re not using up fossil fuels and transportation dollars.
Lisa and Jenny glo up these amazing salvaged materials with their modern design aesthetic. Their bags have modern classic silhouettes so you’ll want to keep them forever. They don’t make trash; they make treasure.
